Warming Up!

There has been lots of warming up lately... Now that the shock is wearing off that we're going to be parents, we're actually warming up to the idea! I can tell I am already thinking differently about things than I used to. We had talked about making a breezeway between the house and the garage a while back, well I wasn't too sold on the idea, I wanted to wait on that a spend money on something else. Well yesterday it was pouring down rain when I pulled in the drive, I thought, hmmm... yes, a breezeway would be nice so I don't have to carry a baby in and get drenched!! Priorities are changing!!!


Other than warming up to the idea of being parents, the weather is warming up too! We've got our pool open and got to actually enjoy it on Sunday! It was really nice to spend the afternoon in the pool! The dogs had to check it out too. Bella hated it, Meeka loved it! Meeka can actually swim. I was surprised! We learned this last week though... We had gone fishing last Sunday afternoon and had taken the dogs with us. Well, my dads dog LOVES the water. She just gets in and does laps around the pond. Meeka and Bella had been at the pond plenty of times when she was swimming. They never paid any attention to her. Well last Sunday I heard my dads dog jump in and saw her swimming, then I heard another big splash and looked over, MEEKA HAD JUMPED IN! I started freaking out! She went all the way under then bobbed back up and started swimming! We were impressed! We caught several fish and had a really nice afternoon!

Dallas's dad got to come visit over the weekend. He came to go to the Kentucky Derby with us. Boy, was that a sight to see! Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many people in one place for me! It was hot and soo many people were smoking! I had been nauseated that morning but thought I'd be fine to just go on... well, after being there in the heat, walking around in the crowd with the smoke smell, after about an hour I felt awful! I had to find a place to set down. I found somewhere to set while my wonderful husband waited in a LONG line to get me a lemonade. I felt better after that, only to get up to find I had set in gum! Great. It was melted to my behind!! We tried to get it off best we could... but it was still very noticeable. Oh well. The Derby was fun and definately a sight to see!!
