Loving this warm weather!

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately! We're been grilling out for the last couple weeks, that makes me really excited for summer! I can't wait to get our pool open, which by the way, we'll be opeing it in about 2 weeks!!! Neither Dallas or I have ever owned a pool so this is all new to us! But we're excited! We've been really busy lately! We're about finished with calving season! We only have one Momma Cow left to calve! The calves have all been healthy and they seem happy! This is one of my favorite times of the year. There isn't anything much sweeter than a brand new baby calf!

My palomino mare, Molly, has been in Illinois for the last few months. A guy has been riding and ropin off of her. Dallas went and got her last week while I was at work! I was so glad to have her back! She's pretty special to me.

Something else new going on lately.... I started nightshift about 2 weeks ago. And right now, I think its going to be the death of me! Don't get me wrong! I love the people I work with on night shift, and I even like the night shift setting in the hospital. But my body is totally confused about this sleeping situation. I can be so exhausted when I get home from work but still my body wakes up about every hour to hour and a half. And its too pretty outside lately to sleep the day away! I'm sure I'll eventually get used to it! On the flip side of that... my dogs are loving it! They sleep all night with Dallas and sleep during the day with me! They love being lazy!

Now thats its nice out I've been taking the dogs on walks behind our house on the back of our property. There are some neat wooded areas that have creeks running through them. The dogs love it! They always end up a mess and need a bath but thats okay :)
